Lipedema

Lipedema is a progressive disease of fatty tissue that most often affects women and is caused by an abnormal accumulation of fat in the extremities. This pathology has associated symptoms (pain, heaviness, tendency to bruising) that severely affect the quality of life. It does not have a specific known cause but is associated with hereditary and hormonal factors. One of the surgical treatment for lipedema is liposuction, which consists in removing the fat through a very little invasive surgery. For this procedure we use power-assisted (PAL) and water-assisted systems (WAL), which facilitate the retraction of the skin by aspirating through small incisions that respect the functioning lymphatic system.
