Bichectomy

Bichectomy is the medical term used for cheek surgery. This procedure provides an illusion of a sharp look and highlights the contours and cheekbones of your face by eliminating the extra fat. This surgery is recommended for people with healthy weight and over 18 years of age. People struggling with obesity and those above 45 years of age are not the best candidates for this intervention. While the patient is under the effect of local anesthesia, I will make an intraoral incision beneath the Bichat bags or the buccal fat pads on your cheek to remove the excessive fat. It is a relatively short surgery which takes up to 30-45 minutes. You can recover from this procedure quickly with minimal discomfort. Initially, there will be swelling inside the cheek while the outer appearance will remain completely normal. Results can be seen immediately after the swelling dies down, your jawline will be more prominent, and cheekbones will be more noticeable.
